Adjustments can be made from the cab  The depth can be adjusted and the press wheel closing pressure can both be adjusted from the tractor cab.  The press wheel pressure can be adjusted from the tractor cab.  These are particularly useful when operating in different soil types enabling the operator to adjust to conditions from the tractor cab.

More options - Planting in optimum moisture  The farmer can now wait that extra day as it is not necessary to plant when the land is too wet but still there will be more hectares planted before the land dries out again.  Further, if there is more rain on the way, a greater portion of the crop can be planted to take advantage of that rain.  The Bullet Air Drill gives the farmer more options and increases the opportunity to take advantage of weather conditions.

Less Horsepower per Hectare  The Bullet Air Drill is a disc machine and the draft requirements are lower than that of a tined implement.  The draft requirements are around 55% of that required to pull a tined implement at the same speed, conventional.  The horsepower required to pull The Bullet Air Drill at high speeds, 20-25kph is about the same as that required to pull a tined implement at conventional speeds.  Since planting time takes about half the time, the fuel bill is still slashed.

Plant in Half the Time  The savings in labour and fuel are obvious.  There are also savings to be considered such as tractor maintenance and the added advantage of having time for other operations such as spraying.

Slash Your Fuel Bill  This is a huge saving due to the low draft requirements.  The fuel bill for planting will be around 55% of that of a tined implement.

Eliminate Trash Handling Problems  The development of The Bullet Air Drill heralds a new era in trash handling.  The discs are beveled and are self-sharpening.

No Compromise on Seed Placement  The Bullet Air Drill plants consistently at the depth at which you set the machine.  The machine has excellent contour following ability.  The modules will rise and fall across the width of the machine as you glide through the contours.

Superior Moisture Retention and Less Soil Disturbance Resulting in Less Weeds   Most of the stubble is left standing and the soil in the alternate row is undisturbed.  This standing stubble will help shade the ground from the sun and protect the emerging plants.  Undisturbed soil means less weak seeds will germinate.  Attachments can be added to create disturbance if herbicide incorporation is required.

Less Soil Erosion Due to Water and Wind

Leaving the stubble standing slows down wind speed and water flow at ground level.  This will result in less erosion in these conditions.  If you are in a sand blast area, The Bullet Air Drill could be a useful tool.

Smooth Finish   The field finish is basically the same as it was prior to planting.

Nitrogen banding kit, Guaranteeing Seed and Fertiliser Separation

The banding of urea is done by attaching a complete set of discs across the front of the drill.  One bander can plant enough nitrogen for two rows of seed.  Nitrogen banding kits are optional to band the nitrogen in the form of urea, liquid or gas, either mid row or to the side of or in the seed row.  This option guarantees seed and nitrogen separation without compromising seed placement.  They can also be set up to cultivate deep beneath the seed.

Superior Packing Without Crusting

In some soils, crusting appears when using press wheel.  The press wheels on The Bullet Air Drill expel air from the seedbed but do not press directly over the seed.  This gets the crop out of the ground faster and allows moisture to seep through to the seed.
